Enrolment
Enrolments must be made through the online form.
You will receive an automated confirmation email and an invoice once booking is made. If you do not receive these, you have not booked.
Enrolment in a program is confirmed once full payment is received, given that we meet our class minimums to be able to run it. If we do not meet the required numbers and need to cancel a class, we may do so at any time and offer you a full refund or a credit.
2. Payment & Enrolment confirmation
Spaces in classes & workshops being limited, the student’s spot is confirmed upon full payment of the invoice by the due date stated on such document.
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the student’s booking if the invoice is not paid by the due date.
3. Cancelation Policy - Student
By enrolling and paying for a class, you agree with these Terms & Conditions. All classes & workshops are non refundable, however:
we will provide a refund minus an admin fee of $25 if we are notified in writing at least 7 days prior to the class/workshop start, or
we will be happy to transfer the student to another class, space permitting, or
the student may transfer the class to someone who would like the student’s spot - the student is entirely responsible for finding a replacement person and to inform Atelier 171 of this person’s details
Students who do not come to their booked sessions will not be offered a refund for the missed sessions.
4. Cancellation Policy - Atelier 171
All our classes and workshops run with a minimum number of students. In the event of not meeting these numbers, hence being forced to cancel a class/workshop, the student will be notified at least 48h in advance and offered a full refund or a voucher to be used towards an upcoming class/workshop (valid for 12 months).
If, due to illness, the tutor must cancel a class/workshop, the student will be offered a make up class/workshop at a suitable time to be discussed.
5. School holiday workshops
If a student cannot make a holiday class and does not provide notice of at least one week, unfortunately, we cannot provide any refund or credit. If you are able to give us at least one week notice, a credit or exchange can be provided.
Sewing projects may be altered to suit a student better and in order to provide a fun learning experience.
6. Sewing Club
By purchasing a Sewing Club card you agree that:
due to the flexible nature of the concession card, Atelier 171 does not provide a refund for the sessions purchased
if you are unable to attend the remaining sessions on your card, you may transfer the card to someone who would like to attend the sessions (please note the card holder is responsible to finding a person to transfer the card to)
if you wish to transfer the card to someone else, please let Atelier 171 know the details of that person so we can welcome the new Sewing Club member at the studio
7. Safety
Students must be able to tie long hair up for machine safety reasons. Closed shoes are also recommended around the sewing room.
If a student is being overly disruptive to the class, putting themselves or others at risk of injury, we reserve the right to remove them from the class.
8. Assumption of Risk
The student acknowledges and agrees that they are voluntarily participating in the sewing class and assume all risks associated with the activity. The student acknowledges that there are inherent risks associated with sewing and using sewing equipment, including the risk of cuts, burns, or other injuries. The student assumes all risks associated with these activities.
