I don't own a sewing machine. Can I still enrol in a class?

Absolutely! The sewing studio at Atelier 171 is fully equiped and you can use one of our domestic sewing machine. 

And if you enjoy sewing, we will be happy to help you find a sewing machine suitable for your needs.

How can I book a class?

To book a class, please fill in the form at the bottom of your chosen class section.

Enrolments are confirmed upon full payment - you will receive all payment details after filling the booking form.

Where are the lessons held?

The workshop is located at 1A171/Moore Street, Howick. You can find us on the map in our Contact section.

I am a new mum and would love to attend a class. 

Can I bring my baby along?

You are most welcome to bring your baby along! We've had many babies accompanying their mums to their sewing class and it's always a joy to have them at the studio.

Could you help me with a project I am sewing?

Yes, absolutely! 

We offer private sessions to help you finish a garment, learn a specific technique or get started all together. Let us know what you need or would like to learn.

Or you can join our Sewing Club and bring your project along.

I was given a sewing machine, but I don't know how to use it. Can you help me?

A new sewing machine can be daunting, but we are here to help you find your way around it. You can book a private session (30 minutes may be enough) or join a beginners sewing class and bring your machine.

My child would love a Sewing Birthday Party!

Yes, absolutely! 

We can create a custom made session for your party. Just email us at info@atelier171.co.nz and we'll make it happen.

Can I book a private group lesson for family and friends?

Yes! We offer tailored sessions for individuals or small groups in our studio during the week, with some weekend availability as well.

• Private individual lesson one-to-one (1 person) : $65 per hour per person

• Small group lessons (2 people): $55 per hour per person

• Group lessons (3–8 people): $45 per person per hour
