Learn how to recreate it yourself in this hands-on sewing class designed for advanced beginners and beyond. Students will bring in a favourite piece of clothing and learn the process of copying it into a wearable new version while developing garment-making skills and confidence.

In this class, students will learn:

• how to analyse garment construction

• basic pattern tracing and garment copying techniques

• adding seam allowance and creating a final pattern

• cutting and sewing techniques for clothing construction

• finishing techniques

Perfect for sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and want to move beyond beginner projects into making custom clothing inspired by pieces they already love to wear.

WHAT TO BRING: A simple top or dress you enjoy wearing consisting. We recommend bringing several simple garments to choose from. To start with, it is best to avoid pleats/draping/buttonholes/panels.
