The Adult Beginners Sewing Class welcomes students from 16 yo+ who are getting started with their sewing journey, as well as students with some experience looking to review the fundamentals, gain confidence, improve their skills or wanting some help with a project.
Our supportive and hands-on classes are the perfect place to create and connect!
What you'll learn:
If you are an absolute beginner, welcome to the wonderful cradt of sewing! In this class, you will learn everything you need to get started, such a using a sewing machine and fundamental techniques. You will build your skills and gain confidence to move onto new challenges.
If you have some sewing experience and would like to gain confidence, this class is also for you. These 5 sessions will empower you to tackle bigger project with confidence and perhaps start making that dress or jacket you've been dreaming of? Bring fabric of your choice and a project if you have one in mind or wish to finish one you've started at your beginners class.
What to bring:
Sewing machines and other tools are available at the studio for students to use during the class. If you own a sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it and learn how to use it.
Everything is provided for your first project. Once finished, we'll chose something you'd like to make for yourself: you must then bring your choice of fabric + notions to move onto a more challenging project from the 2nd or 3rd class (to be discussed with your tutor).
